MIT Sloan Facilities

Classroom Scheduling

MIT Sloan houses a number of classrooms, ranging from small seminar rooms to large lecture halls. Most areas of the classroom buildings E51(Tang) and E62 are equipped with wireless network connectivity, and most of the School’s tiered discussion-style classrooms are equipped with power outlets at each seat. To reserve a classroom on the MIT Sloan campus for student club meetings or events, have the designated reservation signatory review the policies outlined by here or contact MIT Sloan Educational Services (E52-133). At least three business days’ notice is required to reserve a classroom. To reserve public spaces at MIT Sloan, have the designated reservation signatory go to https://sloanspace.mit.edu/. Finally, for larger events, rooms located in other parts of the MIT campus are available through the MIT Schedules Office at (617) 253-4788.

Please note that only TAs or Student Life approved signatories can place space reservations at Sloan.

Audiovisual Services and Video Production

Pre-event A/V Planning

To explore how technology can be used at events, students can request a free consultation using the Sloan Technology Services Audio Visual Consultation Form. For events that require special planning (i.e. remote participation or web broadcasting), students must schedule a pre-event consultation a minimum of five days prior to the event using the Sloan AV Consultation Form via MySloan or contact MIT Sloan Audio Visual Services at (617) 324-2000.

Requesting Audio/Visual Services (AV) on the MIT Sloan Campus

To request A/V services or equipment for the MIT Sloan supported locations (E62, E52, Trust Center, and select E51 classrooms) students should submit a Sloan AV Support Request Form

Requesting Audio/Visual (AV) Services on the MIT Main Campus

MIT Audiovisual Services provides technical support and equipment for any MIT-related event on the main campus (non-Sloan locations). To request AV services or equipment, students should submit a MIT AV Event Support Request Form or contact MIT Audiovisual services at 617-253-2808.

To assure proper service levels, the following policies are followed:

  • All Events require a minimum 5 business days advance notice.
  • The MIT audio/visual services team will make every effort to provide support for last-minute requests. However, it should be noted that due to the high demand for services and limited equipment and staff resources, not all last-minute requests may be accommodated.
  • MIT Technical staff will work to assure 100% satisfaction with the equipment and services provided by the department. However, if equipment is provided by others, MIT technicians will not be responsible for setup, operation, or troubleshooting this equipment due to liability reasons.
