15.005 Sloan Intensive Period (SIP)

15.005 Sloan Intensive Period (SIP) is an MBA degree requirement and a unique learning experience that encourages the practice of leadership, collaboration, and innovation, exposing students to timely management topics. Taught by MIT Sloan faculty and vetted external practitioners, this mid-semester experience complements regular semester classes. Themes for SIP focus heavily on the mission of MIT Sloan of developing “principled, innovative leaders.” Regular semester Sloan classes pause during Spring SIP week for students to fully engage in the immersive and intensive learning that occurs through participating in SIP activities. A mix of 3-day modules and more extended format activities allow students to delve deeply into a chosen topic. The MBA Program Office, MIT Leadership Center, selected Action Learning labs, Certificates, MIT Sloan Student Life, and MIT Centers organize this program

All MBA students complete only one Spring term of 15.005. This course is graded P/D/F and is an MBA degree requirement.

LGO students are not required to complete Spring 15.005 SIP.
